3. Speaker:Stephen is the Director, Member & Market Insights at Servus Credit Union and is responsible for three areas – Digital Analytics, Data Science, and Member & Market Research. He is the President of DAMA Edmonton and is a strong believer in collaborating with other professional organizations to further the growth of a vibrant local AI ecosystem. Stephen has over 25 years’ experience in predictive modeling, quantitative analysis, and operations research, including publications in top-tier academic journals. Stephen has an MA from Queen’s University, an MBA from The Richard Ivey School of Business, and certifications in ML/AI, Business Intelligence, and Data Management.

4. Abstract: This presentation will focus on Servus Credit Union’s journey to adopt and operationalize Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Several areas in the organization will be highlighted and their past and current usage of Artificial Intelligence will be examined. Financial institutions are realizing benefits from AI technologies for increased real-time service delivery methods, risk assessment, fraud prevention, process automation, member insights, campaign segmentation, profitability analysis, sentiment analysis, predictive behaviors, enhanced member engagement and self-service capabilities. Since AI cannot be practiced in isolation, Servus’s implementation of foundational data management applications and processes will also be reviewed.
